AgustaWestland Aviation Services LLC, a joint venture between Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA) and Leonardo S.p.A. is undergoing new and comprehensive upgrade programs with major customers. The addition of a new team of engineers is providing the required capacity to respond to new challenges to deal with an increase in demand of modern and certified support solutions.

Maintenance, repair and overhaul continue to be a reality for an always increasing range of components. The Company is set to support the whole AgustaWestland Family of new generation models with dedicated services in the area. Since its establishment in late 2011 and operational readiness achieved in 2013, significant steps forward have been made to offer an increasing array of comprehensive services and activities for the planned sale of helicopter spare parts and accessories, helicopter/component repair and overhaul, customization, modification and upgrading.

With more than 200 AgustaWestland helicopters in service in the region today, Leonardo SpA and ADA have successfully joined forces thanks to the combination of engineering and maintenance expertise and local partner’s willingness to invest in new technologies. The set-up of a local hub for maintenance services has helped the customers to access spare parts locally within few hours.

The helicopter components repair and overhauls in the UAE for all types have achieved a turnaround time reduction by 60% and more recently the company has launched new activities to reduce further the TAT.

Customers have access to the 24/7 of A.O.G. (Aircraft On Ground) service since spring 2014. The capability Expansion plan aims at a further growth in line with the continued expansion of the regional helicopter fleet. These future moves include completion of the introduction of main services for helicopter MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) and logistics, MRO services for a range of components.

Another set of components is expected to be certified with GCAA in the second quarter of 2019. The support capabilities to the latest AgustaWestland models, the AW169 and the AW189, are already available to operators in the area. By doing so AgustaWestland Aviation Services has become a major support hub for the whole AgustaWestland Family of new generation helicopters.
